TECH TUESDAY! TIMING YOUR KETTLEBELL SWING

A common point that many people struggle with in kettlebell swings, is the timing of the back swing. Often people will begin to hinge right after they hit the top of the swing. This is not only an inefficient way to perform the swing, it is a potentially dangerous one. When we go into out back swing at the last moment we anatomically set ourselves up in the best position to decelerate the kettlebell and absorb the force of it. However, when we hinge right away, the arc of the bell goes very low and it's force wants nothing better than to bend your spine. Play chicken with your chunk an hinge at the last moment the next time your practicing your swing. -Fury #diemighty
